DESCRIPTION:
(from Bravo's press release, May 2017) Bravo Media has ordered its first scripted event series, "All That Glitters," from Universal Cable Productions and Executive Producers Gale Anne Hurd ("The Walking Dead" and "The Terminator" trilogy) and Judith Verno ("Masters of Sex"), it was announced today by Frances Berwick, President, Lifestyle Networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. Based on the award-winning book, Newhouse, by Thomas Maier, the six-hour series will examine the rivalry and friendship between pop-culture and fashion icons Anna Wintour and Tina Brown. The series is written and Executive Produced by Emmy-nominees Lawrence Konner and Mark Rosenthal (both from "Roots" and "Planet of the Apes") with Maier as producer. "All That Glitters" will be produced by Universal Cable Productions in association with Sony Pictures TV Entertainment. "All That Glitters" presents the true story of the behind the scenes rivalry, relationship and remarkable ascent of pop-culture icons Tina Brown and Anna Wintour. As both bold and driven women fight their way to the top of a male-dominated industry driven by greed and betrayal, they each find new paths to change the world around them - Tina, through the intersection of high-culture and celebrity, and Anna with an instinct for high fashion and emerging talent. |
