ON A REBROADCAST OF THE SIXTH-SEASON FINALE
OF "THE KING OF QUEENS," WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 8
"Awful Bigamy" -- Doug is initially reluctant to let Holly move in with them after she gets kicked out of her apartment, but quickly discovers there are advantages to having two women in the house, on a rebroadcast of the sixth-season finale of THE KING OF QUEENS, Wednesday, Sept. 8 (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. One of the series' executive producers, Rob Schiller, directed the episode from a script written by Ilana Wernick. (Originally broadcast 5/19/04)
After Holly gets kicked out of her apartment, Arthur insists that she move in with them. Although Doug is hesitant at first, his feelings change when he discovers that Holly thinks he's funny and enjoys hearing his stories, unlike Carrie who's spending most of her time locked up in their bedroom working on a big project for her new job. Doug quickly realizes the advantage of having a "downstairs-wife," who caters to his every need, and an "upstairs-wife" who pays all the bills and whom he can have sex with. When Doug makes a play for a third wife, his scheming finally catches up with him.
