As Joan tries to remain hopeful that her night with Steve won�t be a complete disaster, the alarmed Helen and Will attempt to convince her to ask someone else -- and Grace reminds her how hurt Adam will be by this unexpected pairing. Meanwhile, Will discovers a web of corruption involving many members of Arcadia�s city government -- and Luke approaches Grace to work with him on a science fair project, which escalates into their attending the school dance together.
