DENNY CRANE'S LONG-LOST SON, DONNY (FREDDIE PRINZE, JR. ) GOES HEAD TO HEAD WITH CRANE, POOLE & SCHMIDT, ON ABC'S "BOSTON LEGAL"

"Catch and Release" - Denny Crane's long-lost son, Donny Crane (Freddie Prinze, Jr.) -- himself an attorney -- represents environmental interests against the development of a shopping mall by one of Crane, Poole & Schmidt's major clients. Meanwhile Shore, with Lori serving as second chair, tries a sexual harassment case, with his ex-lover, Christine - whom he recently helped get released from a mental institution and who, he now fears, is stalking him - serving as opposing counsel. And Sally tries her first case, defending a man who was caught stealing red-handed, on "Boston Legal," SUNDAY, OCTOBER 17 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"Boston Legal" stars James Spader as Alan Shore, Monica Potter as Lori Colson, Mark Valley as Brad Chase, Rhona Mitra as Tara Wilson, Lake Bell as Sally Heep and William Shatner as Denny Crane.

Guest-starring in "Catch and Release" are Rene Auberjonois as Lewiston, Freddie Prinze, Jr. as Donny Crane, Elizabeth Mitchell as Christine, Steven Anderson as Seymore, Sam Temeles as Dr. Lott, Dean Norris as Byron Kaneb, Lombardo Boyar as Ramone Valasquez, Susan Floyd as Wendy Moore, Michael Ensign as Judge Resnick, Christopher Carroll as Judge Bickell, Christine Tucci as D.A. Huff, Mary Kathleen-Gordon as Sylvie While, Todd Waring as Daniel Ralston, Diana Yanez as foreperson no. 1 and Patricia Belcher as Judge Bishop.

The teleplay for "Catch and Release" was written by David E. Kelley, and the story was written by Peter Ocko & David E. Kelley. "Catch and Release" was directed by Dan Attias.

"Boston Legal" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.
