LORI COLSON HAS TO DEFEND A MAN ACCUSED OF MURDERING A POLICE OFFICER WHEN THE FIRM IS UNEXPECTEDLY FORCED TO TAKE A CRIMINAL CASE, ON ABC'S "BOSTON LEGAL"

"Change of Course" -- When Edwin Poole escapes from the mental hospital and wanders into a criminal courtroom, he shocks the firm by taking on the pro-bono case of a man accused of murdering a police officer. Brad Chase persuades Lori Colson to use her skills from her days as a D.A. and serve as first chair in the defense. Meanwhile, Shore is encouraged by a senior partner to use extreme measures to defend a company CEO charged with shoplifting and to keep the case from going public, on "Boston Legal," SUNDAY, OCTOBER 24 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"Boston Legal" stars James Spader as Alan Shore, Monica Potter as Lori Colson, Mark Valley as Brad Chase, Rhona Mitra as Tara Wilson, Lake Bell as Sally Heep and William Shatner as Denny Crane.

Guest-starring in "Change of Course" are Rene Auberjonois as Lewiston, Jeremiah Birkett as Warren Litch, Larry Miller as Edwin Poole, Robert Joy as A.D.A. Harris, Linda Gehringer as Lee Tyler, Will Radford was Miles Tibbet, Charles Currie as Bennett Lyne, Kevin R. Kelly as foreman no. 2, Louise Claps as criminal court jury foreman, Anita Finlay as Helen Poole, Craig Mitchell as prisoner no. 1 and Jim Kratt as prisoner no. 2.

The Teleplay for "Change of Course" was written by David E. Kelley, and the Story was written by David E. Kelley & Jonathan Shapiro. "Change of Course" was directed by Ron Underwood.

"Boston Legal" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.
