NBC MOVIE OF THE WEEK --(8:00PM-10:00PM) --(TV-PG)
"The Last Ride (Off Usa)"
Originally aired on USA, "The Last Ride" is an action-packed, two-hour film about three generations of men, fueled by rebellion and driven by revenge as they confront ghosts from their past. The Pontiac GTO, in both its classic and modern forms, provides a catalyst in bringing the family together. When pro street-racer Matt Purnell, played by Chris Carmack (The O.C., Bring it on Again), picks up his former hot-rodding grandfather Ronnie, played by Dennis Hopper (Easy Rider, Speed, Blue Velvet), from a 30 year stint in prison for armed robbery, they embark on a quest to take down Darryl Kurtz, head of a security company, played by Fred Ward (The Right Stuff, The Player, Road Trip). As a young police sergeant, Kurtz was involved in a scheme against Ronnie and his wife, for which now Ronnie is seeking revenge. Ronnie's son and Matt's father Aaron, played by Will Patton (Gone in Sixty Seconds, Armageddon), was adopted by Daryl as a child after his mother died and his father went to prison, and now finds himself caught in the middle of the revenge. Executive produced by Rob Cohen (The Fast and the Furious, xXx), Bruce Mellon (The Skulls, Cruel Intentions) and Angela Mancuso (Spartacus, Helen of Troy), Guy Norman Bee (Las Vegas, Threat Matrix, Alias, Fastlane) directs the script written by Ron McGee (Atomic Twister, Don't Look Down). Stu Segall Productions, Inc. is the production company.
