ABC TELEVISION NETWORK

As some of the nation's top-ranked team vie for conference titles and bowl game berths, ABC Sports' coverage of college football continues with an action-filled Thanksgiving Holiday weekend of thrilling national and regional games, culminating on Saturday, November 27, with the classic rivalry between Notre Dame and No. 1-ranked USC in the "BCS Spotlight Game of the Week."

The network's holiday coverage begins on Friday, November 26, at 12:00 Noon, ET, when Nebraska hosts Colorado in a Big 12 match-up. Colorado needs a win to keep its Big 12 North title hopes alive. The action continues at 3:30 p.m., ET, with a Texas-sized showdown between the Lone Star State's fiercest rivals - No. 19 Texas A&M and No. 5 Texas. All-American LB Derrick Johnson leads the Longhorns in the 111th meeting between these teams. Texas is trying for a BCS spot.

The following day, Saturday, November 27, at 1:00 p.m., ET, the first half of a doubleheader features three regional games: Missouri will face Iowa State in the Big 12 North title race; Syracuse will try and stop No. 21 Boston College from clinching the Big East title; while No. 17 Virginia and conference-leader and No. 14 Virginia Tech go head-to-head in a game that will have an impact on the ACC title. Then at 8:00 p.m., ET, Notre Dame takes on No. 1-ranked USC in a national game.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 26, NATIONAL GAMES - 12:00 NOON, ET

COLORADO (6-4, 3-5) @ NEBRASKA (5-5, 3-4)

Announcers: Terry Gannon (play-by-play), Terry Bowden (analyst), Tim Brant (analyst) and Suzy Shuster (sidelines).

Key Production Staff: Chris Pfeiffer (producer) and David Kiviat (director)

THE GAME: The Colorado Buffaloes close out the regular season in a pivotal Big 12 North Division game. The Buffaloes have won their past two games to get back into contention for the Big 12 North title and a chance at a spot in the league title game. For Colorado to win its third division title in four years, it needs to defeat Nebraska and have Missouri deal the Cyclones a loss in Ames the following day. If that happens, then Colorado and Iowa State tie for the division lead with 4-4 marks, but the Buffaloes get the nod by virtue of their 19-14 win over ISU in Boulder. QB JOE KLATT will lead Colorado's offense while TB BOBBY PURIFY, a candidate for the Doak Walker Award, controls the ground game. Junior I-back CORY ROSS is the featured back in Nebraska's offensive attack and has proven capable of carrying the load for a productive Husker ground attack. QB JOE DAILEY will call the signals for Nebraska.

3:30 P.M., ET:

NO. 19 TEXAS A&M (7-3, 5-2) @ NO. 5 TEXAS (9-1, 6-1)

Announcers: Brad Nessler (play-by-play), Bob Griese (analyst) and Lynn Swann (sidelines)

Key Production Staff: Bruce Clark (producer) Patrick McManus(director).

THE GAME: The Texas A&M -Texas contest ranks as the third-most-played game in college football. The 2004 game will be the 111th renewal of the rivalry. Aggies QB REGGIE MCNEAL, the Big 12's top pass/run threat, ranks No. 2 in the Big 12 Conference and No. 4 nationally in total offense. Texas heads into Saturday's game riding a five-game winning streak. With nine victories in 2004, the Texas Longhorns are assured a seventh straight winning season and a seventh bowl bid in a row under MACK BROWN. Texas' 2004 ground game is led by Heisman hopeful RB CEDRIC BENSON, the only back who has rushed for at least 1,000 yards in each of the last four seasons. LB DERRICK JOHNSON leads the Longhorn defense in 2004. Texas' first-ever Butkus Award finalist is one of the favorites for the nation's Defensive Player of the Year Award and has already been named a finalist for this season's Butkus Award.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27, REGIONAL GAMES -- 1:00 P.M., ET

SYRACUSE (5-5, 3-2) @ NO. 21 BOSTON COLLEGE (8-2, 4-1)

Announcers: Jerry Punch (play-by-play), Jamal Anderson (analyst) and Mark Morgan (sidelines)

Key roduction Staff: Jim Ressler (producer) and Dick Buffinton (director)

THE GAME: Syracuse, led by standout RB DAMIEN RHODES, who rushed for an impressive 200 yards on 29 carries in a losing effort to Temple last week, needs to beat Boston College to keep hopes alive for a bowl game bid. QB PERRY PATTERSON, who threw for 240 yards last week, will call the plays for the Orangemen. Boston College, led by RB L.V. WHITWORTH, are coming off a 34-17 win over Temple and are one win away from the Big East Championship. Whitworth earned Player of the Week honors in last week's win, after rushing for 154 yards and two touchdowns.

NO. 17 VIRGINIA (8-2, 5-2) @ NO. 14 VIRGINIA TECH (8-2, 5-1)

Announcers: Brent Musburger (play-by-play), Gary Danielson (analyst) and Jack Arute (sidelines)

Key Production Staff: Bob Goodrich (producer) and Steve Beim (director)

THE GAME: Saturday's game between Virginia Tech and Virginia will be the 86th gridiron meeting between the two schools. This game will mark the first time since 1935 that the two teams will be meeting as members of the same conference. The winner of the annual gridiron clash between Virginia Tech and Virginia earns more than bragging rights in the State. In recent years the winning team has also taken home the Commonwealth. The Virginia Cavaliers, led by RBs ALVIN PEARMAN and WALI LUNDY, conclude the regular season against in-state rival Virginia Tech. Both teams come into the game nationally ranked for the first time since 1999. There is a logjam atop the Atlantic Coast Conference standings in the race for the league championship. Virginia is tied for second place with Miami and Florida State -- with 5-2 records -- and can secure a share of the league title with a victory over the Hokies. Virginia Tech, currently in first place in the league with a 5-1 mark, play at Miami on Dec. 4. All four teams are in

contention for the league crown, depending on how the next two weeks shake out. QB BRYAN RANDALL needs six touchdown passes to become the Hokies' all-time leader in touchdown passes.

MISSOURI (2-5, 4-6) @ IOWA STATE (6-4, 4-3)

Announcers: Gary Thorne (play-by-play), Ed Cunningham (analyst) and Dave LaMont (sidelines)

Key Production Staff: Mitch Green (producer) and Margaret Gallin (director)

THE GAME: The Missouri Tigers, looking to end their season on a winning note, will rely on QB BRAD SMITH who completed 15 of 40 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns in last week's disappointing loss to Kansas. Iowa State, on the other hand, put itself in a position to win the Big 12 North with a thrilling fourth-quarter comeback against Kansas State. With explosive RB STEVIE HICKS, who rushed for 159 yards last week, the Cyclones can close the deal against Missouri, capping an amazing regular season.

8:00 P.M., ET, NATIONAL GAME:

(BCS SPOTLIGHT GAME OF THE WEEK)

NOTRE DAME (6-4) @ NO. 1 USC (10-0, 7-0)

Announcers: Keith Jackson (play-by-play), Dan Fouts (analyst) and Todd Harris (sidelines)

Key Production Staff: Jeff Kibler (producer) Derek Mobley (Director)

THE GAME: The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame (6-4) and the Trojans of USC (10-0) meet for the 76th time on the gridiron when they clash on ABC on Saturday in primetime. Notre Dame enters this year's contest trying to finish on a high note after a tough home loss to Pittsburgh on Nov. 13. Notre Dame's six wins on the season have qualified them for a bowl game berth. QB BRADY QUINN continues to develop as Notre Dame's leader on offense and is on pace to a record-setting season in his second year with the Irish. WR MATT SHELTON has emerged as a big-play threat. The top-ranked Trojans, undefeated at 10-0, are on track to earn a chance to win the Bowl Championship Series national title this season, if they can notch wins in their next two games versus the Irish and cross town rival UCLA . The Trojans' offense is highlighted by a pair of Heisman Trophy cndidates in quarterback MATT LEINART and multipurpose TB REGGIE BUSH.
