ON A REBROADCAST OF "JOAN OF ARCADIA," FRIDAY, JAN. 21
"The Election" -- Joan considers revealing a controversial secret about a jock who is running for student council in order to help get a more qualified but less popular student elected, on a rebroadcast of JOAN OF ARCADIA, Friday, Jan. 21 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Rob Morrow directed the episode that was written by Ellie Herman. (Originally broadcast 10/22/04)
After God encourages Joan to make a difference in the student elections, she ends up surprising herself by deciding to campaign for the needy Brian Beaumont, who fired her from the school yearbook. However, Brians slim prospects of beating the popular athlete, Lars Klosterman, become even more remote after Lars camp spreads the word that Brians father is in jail. As a result, Joan yearns to bring down Lars and contemplates revealing a controversial secret about him. Meanwhile, Helen is troubled when the parents of one of her art students attempts to ban another students creation from a school exhibit for being offensive, and Will continues to resent and mistrust his new boss, Lieutenant Preston.
