"NUMB3RS," A NEW DRAMA SERIES STARRING ROB MORROW, DAVID KRUMHOLTZ, EMMY AWARD AND TONY AWARD WINNER JUDD HIRSCH AND EMMY AWARD WINNER PETER MACNICOL, TO BE BROADCAST FRIDAYS ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

"NUMB3RS" To Debut In Its Regular Friday, 10:00-11:00 PM Time Period on Jan. 28

Rob Morrow ("Northern Exposure"), David Krumholtz ("Ray"), Emmy Award and Tony Award winner Judd Hirsch (�Taxi�) and Emmy Award winner Peter MacNicol (�Ally McBeal�) star in the new drama series, NUMB3RS, to be broadcast on Fridays (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. There will be a special premiere of the drama on Sunday, Jan. 23 at 10:00 PM, ET/PT. NUMB3RS will debut in its regular time period on Friday, Jan. 28. Inspired by actual events, the drama follows an FBI agent who recruits his mathematical genius brother to help the Bureau solve a wide range of challenging crimes in Los Angeles.

A dedicated FBI agent, Don Eppes (Morrow) couldn�t be more different from his younger brother, Charlie Eppes (Krumholtz), a brilliant mathematician who yearns to impress his older brother. The two brothers take on the most confounding criminal cases from very distinctive perspectives. As a seasoned investigator, Don deals in hard facts and evidence whereas Charlie, a math professor at a California university, functions in a world of mathematical probability and equations.

Don�s boss at the Bureau, Assistant Director in Charge, Walt Merrick (Anthony Heald), is skeptical of the alliance between the brothers. Don�s partner Special Agent Terry Lake (Sabrina Lloyd) and fellow agent David Sinclair (Alimi Ballard), are supportive but concerned that Charlie�s careful analysis will impede their fast-paced search for criminals and their father, Alan (Hirsch), is happy to see his sons working together even though he doesn�t understand what Charlie does for a living. The only person who believes their innovative approach makes sense is Charlie�s physicist friend, Dr. Larry Fleinhardt (MacNicol), as he understands that math is the language of human nature and can be used to solve some of life�s biggest mysteries. Despite their disparate approaches to life, Don and Charlie are able to combine their areas of expertise and solve some killer cases.

In the premiere episode, Don races to capture a serial rapist who has begun to murder his victims. Charlie is recruited by Don to help track the killer. He creates a mathematical equation to identify the killer�s point of origin by working back from the crime scene locations. Charlie�s obsession with the case leads him to seek the insight of his colleague, physicist Dr. Larry Fleinhardt. Meanwhile, their father, Alan, is pleased to see his sons working together but fears their competitive nature will lead to trouble.

Rob Morrow is best known for his portrayal of Joel Fleischman on the hit television series, �Northern Exposure� for the Network. His performance garnered him two Golden Globe Awards and three Emmy Award nominations for �Best Actor in a Dramatic Series.� His other television credits include �Street Time,� �The Day Lincoln Was Shot� and �The Thin Blue Lie.� He also starred in the mini-series "Only Love" and �Jenifer,� both for the Network.

His feature film credits include the Academy Award-nominated film �Quiz Show,� �Mother,� �Last Dance� and �Into My Heart.� He recently starred in �The Emperor's Club� and �The Guru� and can be seen in the upcoming films �Shopping� and the short film, �Night's Noontime.� He also starred in �Maze,� an independent feature which he wrote, directed and produced. In addition to acting, he has directed episodes of �Joan of Arcadia� for the Network, as well as �Street Time� and �Oz� and the feature film, �The Silent Alarm.� He also recently starred on Broadway in �The Exonerated,� and is a founding member of the nonprofit ensemble Naked Angels.

David Krumholtz recently starred in the critically acclaimed film �Ray,� and will soon be seen in �Guess Who,� Joss Whedon�s �Serenity� and �The Last Holdout.� His other feature films include �Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle,� �Santa Clause 2,� �Slums of Beverly Hills,� �The Mexican,� �Sidewalks of New York,� �Ten Things I Hate About You� and �Liberty Heights.� His television credits include �Undeclared,� �Freaks and Geeks,� and �ER,� as well as the television movie, �Big Shot: Confessions of a Campus Bookie.�

Judd Hirsch won two Emmy Awards for the role of Alex Rieger in the television series �Taxi.� His other television credits include �George & Leo� for the Network, �Regular Joe� and �Dear John.� His feature film credits include �A Beautiful Mind,� �Independence Day,� �Running on Empty� and �Ordinary People.� He received Tony Awards for his performances in the plays �I�m Not Rapport� and �Conversations with my Father.�

Alimi Ballard�s television credits include �Dark Angel,� �American Dreams,� �Sabrina the Teenage Witch� and �Arsenio.� He also guest-starred on �CSI� and �Nash Bridges,� for the Network, �NYPD Blue,� �Boomtown,� �Philly,� �She Spies,� �The Division,� �For the People,� and the television movie, �The Little Richard Story.� Ballard�s feature film credits �Men of Honor� and �Deep Impact.� He has also worked with theater companies such as the Manhattan Theater Club and the National Black Theater where he starred in the productions of �Holiday Heart� and �Endangered Species.�

Peter MacNicol has starred in the hit television series �Chicago Hope� for the Network and �Ally McBeal� for which he won an Emmy Award. He has also done voice over work in projects such as �This Just In,� �Balto II: Wolf Quest,� �Recess: School�s Out,� �The Pooch and the Pauper,� �Olive, The Other Reindeer� and �The Secret of NIHM 2: Timmy to the Rescue.� His feature film credits include "Sophie�s Choice," �Ghostbusters II,� �Addams Family Values,� �Housesitter,� �Heat,� �Dracula: Dead and Loving It,� �Mojave Moon,� �Bean,� �Baby Geniuses� and �Breaking All the Rules.�

Sabrina Lloyd�s television credits include �Sliders,� �Sports Night,� �Ed� and �Law & Order.� Her feature film credits include �Chain of Desire,� �Fatherhood,� �The Breakup Artist,� �Dopamine� and the upcoming, �Charlie�s Party.�
