"Icky Shuffle" -- When Carrie comes down with a cold, Arthur assumes Doug will be a valuable replacement to join him in the senior centers shuffleboard tournament, on a rebroadcast of THE KING OF QUEENS, Wednesday, March 16 (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Rob Schiller, one of the series' executive producers, directed the episode from a script written by Chris Downey. (Originally broadcast 5/12/04)
Jerry Stillers wife, Anne Meara ("Stiller and Meara"), guest stars as Spences mother, Veronica.
When Arthur discovers how bad Doug is at shuffleboard, hes forced to ask a reluctant Spence to be his partner in the tournament. However Spence, once a great shuffleboard player, hasnt played since he caught his mom (Meara) in bed with his shuffleboard coach many years ago. Arthur and Spence make it all the way to the finals, but on the day of the championship match, Spence is nowhere to be found.
