RODNEY'S NEW GIG AT A COMEDY CLUB DOESN'T PAY AS MUCH AS HE THOUGHT -- AND HE IS AFRAID TO TELL TRINA THE TRUTH -- ON ABC'S "RODNEY"

"Superhero"-Trina breathes a sigh of relief when Rodney tells her that his new standup gig at a comedy club will be enough to finally pay off their bills. Later on he finds out that the job pays much less than he'd thought, and his hesitation to tell Trina the truth gets him into hot water. Meanwhile, Rodney tries to convince his sons, Bo and Jack, that he's a superhero, on "Rodney," TUESDAY, AUGUST 16 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. (Rebroadcast. OAD: 9/28/04)

"Rodney" stars Rodney Carrington as Rodney Hamilton, Jennifer Aspen as Trina Hamilton, Amy Pietz as Charlie, Nick Searcy as Barry, Oliver Davis as Jack Hamilton and Matthew Josten as Bo Hamilton.

Guest starring are Mac Davis as Carl, Stoney Westmoreland as Hank, Van Epperson as store employee and Bea Nordella as woman.

"Superhero" was written by Gayle Abrams and directed by Bob Berlinger.
