Description: TBS is heading for the express checkout lane with 10 ITEMS OR LESS, a new late-night comedy series that combines scripted and improvisational elements. The series, co-created by acclaimed comedy improv actor John Lehr (Memron), goes behind the scenes at a family-owned grocery store being run by a host of interesting characters. It comes to TBS from Sony Pictures Television, with Lehr, Robert Hickey and Nancy Hower serving as executive producers.

Greens & Grains� sales are down, and manager Leslie Pool (John Lehr) needs to find a way to attract new customers. When a water stain on the wall near the entrance to the store appears to be the likeness of Jesus, Leslie sees nothing but dollar signs. But his overeager marketing tactics attract the ire of rival store manager Amy (Jennifer Elise Cox), while Ingrid (Kirsten Gronfeld) goes a little too far with her own promotional idea. Carl (Robert Clendenin) makes overtures to be a proper father to his son with Yolanda (Roberta Valderrama). And the meat freezer is on the fritz, threatening the store�s entire meat supply.
