ANDREW RECEIVES SOME UNWELCOME BIRTHDAY SURPRISES, ON ABC'S "NOTES FROM THE UNDERBELLY"

"Surprise" - The gang has gathered to celebrate Andrew's birthday, but what should be a joyous occasion suddenly takes a hilarious turn for the worse when Andrew's old college buddy, whom he dislikes, shows up. Andrew learns that Lauren continued to date other guys during the first two months of their courtship. To deflect attention away from herself, Lauren reveals that Danny witnessed Julie and Eric having sex, and that Cooper intentionally made Danny fall off a boat during a booze cruise. Meanwhile Cooper has sent her assistant on a last-minute errand to get a gift for Andrew - which winds up being so lavish, it outshines Lauren's gifts -- on "Notes from the Underbelly," WEDNESDAY, MAY 16 (9:30-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Notes from the Underbelly" stars Jennifer Westfeldt as Lauren, Peter Cambor as Andrew, Michael Weaver as Danny, Rachael Harris as Cooper, Melanie Paxson as Julie and Sunkrish Bala as Eric.

"Surprise" was written by Steve Joe and Greg Schaffer and directed by Victoria Hochberg.

"Notes from the Underbelly" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning.
