"Guardians and Gatekeepers" � After Denny Crane almost dies from toxic shock due to his unintended misuse of an arsenal of prescription drugs, Alan Shore takes on a pharmaceutical company for employing deceptive advertising to scare people into using their products. Meanwhile, Shirley Schmidt asks Carl Sack to defend her cheeky 17-year-old granddaughter who's been arrested for voting in the primary with falsified records, and Jerry Espenson and Katie Lloyd sue a private detention facility after a 15-year-old girl is raped by a guard, on "Boston Legal," MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Boston Legal" stars James Spader as Alan Shore, John Larroquette as Carl Sack, Christian Clemenson as Jerry Espenson, Tara Summers as Katie Lloyd, with Candice Bergen as Shirley Schmidt and William Shatner as Denny Crane.

Guest starring are Henry Gibson as Judge Clark Brown, James Rebhorn as Wade Mathis, Christopher Rich as Attorney Melvin Palmer, Allison Miller as Marlena Hoffman, Roma Maffia as Judge Victoria Peyton, Don McManus as A.D.A.
