"LOVE HURTS," AS COUPLES WHAM, BAM AND SLAM FOR 50 GRAND ON THIS WEEK'S SPECIAL COUPLES VS. COUPLES EDITION OF ABC'S "WIPEOUT"

"Episode 208" -- Couples collide! This week a special episode of "Wipeout" pits couples competing as a team against other couples to test their love, enthusiasm and stamina as the mud and water fly on The Diving Board Trapeze, Log Roll Maze and the Sweeper Buoy Run, some of the wild and outrageous new obstacles on this week's episode of "Wipeout," featuring the world's largest obstacle course. Hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's "SportsCenter,"), John Henson ("Talk Soup") and co-hosted by Jill Wagner, "Wipeout" airs WEDNESDAY, JULY 8 (8:00-9:02 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Each week 24 daring new contestants of all ages, shapes and sizes go head to head through four rounds of demanding but hilarious obstacle courses to win the title of "Wipeout Champion" and the $50,000 grand prize. In the end, only one contestant will win, while everyone else will Wipeout!

"Wipeout" executive producers are Matt Kunitz ("Fear Factor") and Scott Larsen. Shye Sutherland, Kevin Wehrenberg, Trice Barto and J. Rupert Thompson are co-executive producers. The series is produced by Endemol USA. David Goldberg is the chairman of Endemol North America.
