LEM FLIPS WHEN HIS BRILLIANT SCIENTIST MOM STARTS DATING DR. BHAMBA, ON ABC'S "BETTER OFF TED"

"Battle of the Bulbs" � Lem flips out when his mother (guest star Khandi Alexander, "CSI: Miami"), a brilliant scientist who has always intimidated him, comes to visit and begins an affair with Dr. Bhamba (Maz Jobrani). Meanwhile, Ted gets miffed when Linda suddenly gets all the credit after she makes a suggestion to improve on his prize project, a light bulb that burns forever, on "Better Off Ted," TUESDAY, DECEMBER 22 (9:30-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Better Off Ted" stars Jay Harrington as Ted, Portia de Rossi as Veronica, Andrea Anders as Linda, Jonathan Slavin as Phil, Malcolm Barrett as Lem and Isabella Acres as Rose.

Guest starring are Khandi Alexander as Stella Clifton, Maz Jobrani as Dr. Bhamba and Terry Rhoads as Chet.

"Battle of the Bulbs" was written by Michael Shipley and directed by Marc Buckland.

"Better Off Ted" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary Closed Captioning. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.
