ON "PRIMETIME: WHAT WOULD YOU DO?," TUESDAY, AUGUST 10

Suppose you saw a friend's spouse cheating -- would you tell her? What if you saw a young girl being cruelly taunted by other girls - would you confront them? Using hidden cameras, "Primetime: What Would You Do?" sets up everyday scenarios and then captures people's reactions. Whether people are compelled to act or mind their own business, John Quiones reports on their split-second - and often surprising - decision making process, on "Primetime: What Would You Do?," TUESDAY, AUGUST 10 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Often people speculate on how they might act in a difficult situation, but this series shows what they actually do in the face of everyday dilemmas that test their character and values. Tuesday's scenarios include:

· Drunk Driving: What will people do when they see a stranger who's had too much to drink try to get in a car? And will it make a difference when it's a mom with her children? "What Would You Do?" reports on how far people will go to stop a drunk driver. (OAD: 2/27/06)

· Overweight Harassment: An overweight person encounters a cruel group of teens who ridicule her while she's sitting on a public bench at a beach boardwalk. Will anyone walking by intervene? (OAD: 3/25/08)

· Bridal Gown: At a wedding gown fitting, a bride-to-be reveals her choice to friends and family. But what if the gown is so ugly that her closest friends and family want to scream? Will they keep their thoughts to themselves or speak up honestly? (OAD: 3/25/08)

· Cheating Couples: "What Would You Do?" continues the "cheating couples" scenario in which viewers see a best friend's husband getting way too cozy with another woman. But this time the stakes are higher. Will she tell her friend? (OAD: 3/25/08)

"Primetime: What Would You Do?" has won awards from the Chicago International Television Festival and the Avon Foundation's 2006 Voice of Change award for exposing "injustice and wrongdoing against women and bringing the message of domestic violence to the mainstream." The Columbia Journalism Review has called the program "a Candid Camera of ethics."

David Sloan and Chris Whipple are the executive producers and Danielle Baum is the senior producer of "What Would You Do?"
