RAWLINGS ROLLS OUT THE PUNCHES IN THE WORLD TELEVISION PRIEMERE OF "DONNELL RAWLINGS: FROM ASHY TO CLASSY" DEBUTING SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23 AT 11:00 P.M. ET/PT

NEW YORK, October 4, 2010 - Donnell Rawlings wants his audience to "take it in the face" with the World Television Premiere of his special, "From Ashy to Classy," premiering on COMEDY CENTRAL on Saturday, October, 23 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT.

From his appearance on the network as the character "Ashy Larry" on "Chappelle's Show" to his role as host of "Chappelle's Show: The Lost Episodes," Rawlings has caught viewers' attention with his unique and irreverent humor. In his "From Ashy to Classy" special, taped at NYU's Skirball Center in New York City, Rawlings shows that from Barack Obama to the King of Pop, nothing is off-limits. He also tackles subjects including racism in the Gummi Bear industry and how Tiger Woods is "tri-racial" and his Michael Jackson dance impression is one viewer's won't want to miss.

After starting out as the "official heckler" on the Washington D.C. comedy scene, Rawlings began doing stand-up himself, which led to appearances on "The Ricki Lake Show," guests spots on "New York's Hot 97 Morning Show" and the film "Spider-Man II." More recently, he was a guest on award- winning television shows including "Law & Order" and HBO's "The Corner" and "The Wire," as well as "Def Comedy Jam" and multiple radio shows. Presently, Rawlings tours heavily, appears regularly on "Chelsea Lately," and also on Heavy.com's Web series, "From Ashy to Classy," and MTV's new show, "Hatin.'." He is currently a co-host on WPGC's morning segment, "The Big Tigger Morning Show" in D.C. and has just completed the film "Ashy to Classy," which describes his life after "Chappelle's Show."
