Transgendered Widow and His Family that Challenges the Meaning of Marriage
In an ABC News investigation, Brian Ross tracks down the American fugitives accused of being part of a scam that has affected thousands of senior citizens. US officials say the swindlers, based offshore, have used new technology and the good name of the Make-a-Wish Foundation to rip off millions of dollars from unsuspecting Americans. They may be offshore, but they cannot hide. The investigation airs on "20/20," FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
And: After a blazing fire took the life of Thomas Araguz, a young volunteer fireman, a scorching feud between his family and his wife, Nikki, was ignited -- was Nikki lying about who she really was for their entire marriage?
Nikki thought life couldn't get any better after falling for Thomas. They settled into a happy life together, raising his two sons from a previous marriage. But there was no way Nikki could have anticipated what lay ahead - how a stunning secret she says the couple had protected would trigger a lawsuit challenging the meaning of marriage, and questioning the very definition of a man or a woman. Deborah Roberts reports.
"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and Chris Cuomo. David Sloan is executive producer.
