IT'S NOT MOTHER'S DAY WITHOUT A LITTLE SWEAT AND TEARS,
ON ABC'S "MODERN FAMILY"
"Mother's Day" - Claire and Gloria want to spend a nice Mother's Day outdoors hiking with the kids, but their nonstop bickering and complaining drives Claire to the edge, and she brings Gloria down with her. Meanwhile, Phil and Jay stay home to cook everyone a nice dinner, but things get really awkward when Phil witnesses an unexpected moment of weakness from Jay, and Cameron gets very self-conscious about being seen as the "mother" in the relationship, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, MAY 4 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
"Modern Family" stars Ed O'Neill as Jay Pritchett, Julie Bowen as Claire Dunphy, Ty Burrell as Phil Dunphy, Sof�a Vergara as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell Pritchett, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Sarah Hyland as Haley Dunphy, Nolan Gould as Luke Dunphy, Ariel Winter as Alex Dunphy and Rico Rodriguez as Manny Delgado.
Guest cast include Jean Villepique as Jennifer, Todd Weeks as Roy and Elijah Ebe as kid.
"Mother's Day" was written by Dan O'Shannon and Ilana Wernick and directed by Michael Spiller.
"Modern Family" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's Selected HD Format, with 5.1 channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to airdate.
