DAUGHTER PLAYS TO WIN MONEY AND SURPRISE A LOCAL HERO -- HER MOTHER -- ON ABC'S "YOU DESERVE IT"

"Episode 102" -- "You Deserve It" isn't your ordinary game show. This entertaining and heartfelt new series emphasizes the enjoyment in giving rather than receiving. Contestants aren't out to win money for themselves, but instead are playing for someone else -- someone they feel deserves it. In this week's episode, contestant Ja'Ire Hattley plays the compelling game to win as much money as possible for her beloved mother, Alice Hattley, a local community hero. Alice created a non-profit organization called "House of Praise", opening her home and heart to thousands of local community members, helping to feed and clothe them on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, due to a recent turn of events, Alice has lost her house and is on the verge of losing her non-profit organization. Before it's too late, Ja'Ire wants to play "You Deserve It" and surprise her mother with a financial reward that will help overcome these financial obstacles and give Alice the chance to return to doing what she loves best -- helping people -- on "You Deserve It," MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28 (9:01-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

From the producers of "Deal or No Deal" and "Secret Millionaire" comes this new, heartfelt game show that's perfect for the holiday season. "You Deserve It," hosted by Chris Harrison ("The Bachelor") and co-hosted by Brooke Burns, is a six-episode unscripted series in which contestants aren't out to win money for themselves, but are playing for someone else - someone they feel deserves it. Starting with a $ 10,000 round and going up to a $250,000 round, contestants purchase a series of clues to help them solve the puzzles and win money for their chosen recipient. But each clue will cost them -- and the cost of each clue is randomly selected and won't be revealed until after it has been purchased. The beneficiary, who is in another location under constant hidden-camera surveillance throughout the show, gets the surprise of a lifetime when family, friends, Brooke Burns and a camera crew burst in with life-changing news.

"You Deserve It" is produced by Kinetic Content. The show was created by Dick de Rijk, who also created "Deal or No Deal." He executive-produces along with Chris Coelen ("Secret Millionaire"), Matilda Zoltowski ("Dancing with the Stars") and Jeff Krask ("Deal or No Deal"). "You Deserve It" is a Red Arrow Entertainment Group format, distributed by SevenOne International. It is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's Selected HD Format, with 5.1 channel surround sound. This program carries a TV-PG parental guideline.
