HOW YOUNG IS TOO YOUNG?

"20/20" Reports on Extreme Kids, Friday, November 25 on ABC

Plus: A Four-Legged War Hero

How young is too young to sailor around the world on your own? Should parents just say no to kids who want to do something so dangerous? Is a 7-year-old too young to be taught to hate? Is it ok for10-year-old girls to dress in padded bras and dress sexy? "20/20" correspondents report on extreme kids and the parents who allow -- and even encourage - kids to pursue such goals or do unconventional things at such an early age. "20/20" airs FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Plus: The family of New Hampshire solider Justin Rollins made headlines when they launched a one-in-a-million rescue effort, known as "Operation Hero," to bring home the stray puppy their son had held in Iraq the night before he was killed by a roadside bomb. The puppy, named Hero after Justin's sacrifice for his country, has helped heal the family's broken heart and made them smile again. Jay Schadler reports, in collaboration with the Animal Planet series "Saved."

Extreme Kids:

How Young is Too Young to Be Sexy: Items once intended only for adults - like padded bras, high heels and spa treatments - are now being marketed to girls in elementary school. And fashion models as young as 10 are made up to look like adult women. "20/20" asks the experts: What is the effect of sexualizing young girls on our society, and on the girls themselves? Andrea Canning reports.

Hatred: Bo Drain is just 7 years old, but already he knows one thing for sure: Americans who do not belong to his church are going to hell, because our country tolerates homosexuality, abortion and divorce. His family is part of the controversial Westboro Baptist Church, known for picketing soldiers' funerals. Members of the church bring their kids along on dangerous demonstrations, picketing daily in Topeka, Kansas and across America, teaching them a message of intolerance from the earliest age. Is this too young to hate? Chris Cuomo reports. (OAD: 6/10)

Sailing Around the World: In an age where kids spend an average of seven hours in front of their TVs and computers every day, a new generation of adventurous kids are instead heading out onto the open ocean to chase the title as "the youngest" to solo circumnavigate the globe in a sailboat. Chris Connelly reports. (OAD: 6/10)

"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and Chris Cuomo. David Sloan is executive producer.
