A DAUGHTER WISHES TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN HER MOTHER'S LIFE, THE SAME WAY HER MOTHER HAS MADE A DIFFERENCE TO OTHERS, ON ABC'S "YOU DESERVE IT"

"Episode 105" -- "You Deserve It" isn't your ordinary game show. This entertaining and heartfelt new series emphasizes the enjoyment in giving rather than receiving. Contestants aren't out to win money for themselves, but instead are playing for someone else -- someone they feel deserves it. In this week's episode, contestant Ashley Lassetter has witnessed her mother Pam's selfless acts firsthand and is eager to play "You Deserve It" and help restart her mother's life. Beneficiary Pam Kellough is an unemployed loyal single mother who has not let her financial hardships hinder her acts of kindness throughout her community. She is a devoted mother, currently raising two children with disabilities, her 26-year-old daughter who was born with cerebral palsy and her adopted 5-year-old son with severe autism. Pam has dedicated all of her efforts to making sure her children have what they need, as well as teaching and touching the lives of other families who struggle with the same hardships, raising children with disabilities. Ashley admires her mother's huge heart but sees that, while she focuses on other people's needs, she is losing sight on her own - so Ashley hopes to help her mother finally do something for herself. This episode of "You Deserve It" airs MONDAY, DECEMBER 19 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"You Deserve It," hosted by Chris Harrison ("The Bachelor") and co-hosted by Brooke Burns, is a six-episode unscripted series in which contestants aren't out to win money for themselves, but are playing for someone else - someone they feel deserves it. Starting with a $ 10,000 round and going up to a $250,000 round, contestants purchase a series of clues to help them solve the puzzles and win money for their chosen recipient. But each clue will cost them -- and the cost of each clue is randomly selected and won't be revealed until after it has been purchased. The beneficiary, who is in another location under constant hidden-camera surveillance throughout the show, gets the surprise of a lifetime when family, friends, Brooke Burns and a camera crew burst in with life-changing news.

"You Deserve It" is produced by Kinetic Content. The show was created by Dick de Rijk, who also created "Deal or No Deal." He will executive-produce along with Chris Coelen ("Secret Millionaire"), Matilda Zoltowski ("Dancing with the Stars") and Jeff Krask ("Deal or No Deal"). "You Deserve It" is a Red Arrow Entertainment Group format, distributed by SevenOne International. It is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's Selected HD Format, with 5.1 channel surround sound. This program carries a TV-PG parental guideline.
