When People See a Situation that Cries Out for Action, Do They Step in, Back Away or Just Walk on by?

Using hidden cameras, "Primetime: What Would You Do?" establishes everyday scenarios and then captures people's reactions. Whether people are compelled to act or mind their own business, John Qui�ones reports on their split-second and often surprising decision-making process. "Primetime: What Would You Do?" airs FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.

Friday February 3 scenarios include:

Stealing from Homeless: Will anyone intervene when they witness someone stealing from a homeless person sitting on a sidewalk, begging for money? "What Would You Do?" plays out the scenario with the "thief" as a dressed-up businessman, a dressed-down man and a woman.

Bridezilla/Unhelpful Bridal Consultant: There are shows all over television about it - brides with an insatiable appetite for being the most irrational and mean customer a salesperson could ever have. Will anyone step in when they see a bridezilla in action? And what will happen when the tables are turned and the bridal salesperson is anything but helpful - even downright rude to the customer? Will bystanders intervene?

Little Emperors/Mom Abuse: What would you do if you saw a young child hitting and verbally abusing mom when the child does not get his/her way? What if it were an older kid threatening to violently take action against his mom, who happens to already have a black eye?

"Primetime: What Would You Do?" has won awards from the Chicago International Television Festival, and the Avon Foundation's 2006 Voice of Change award for exposing "injustice and wrongdoing against women and bringing the message of domestic violence to the mainstream." The Columbia Journalism Review has called the program "a Candid Camera of Ethics."
