BABRARA WALTERS REPORTS: "THE CUTTING EDGE"
The Latest and Most Innovative Procedures in Looking Younger
Air on "20/20," Friday, February 24 on ABC
Americans are being cut, stretched, tucked, smoothed, tapered, injected and filled to enhance their appearance in record numbers: almost 14 million cosmetic plastic surgeries were performed last year alone, creating a $10 billion a year industry. Anchored by Barbara Walters and including her interviews with top experts in the field, "The Cutting Edge" explores the most innovative procedures and the amazing new advances, some of which do not require surgery. Walters discusses plastic surgery for the face and the newest in breast augmentation - which is the most popular procedure - as well as the use of "fillers" and lasers. She also asks the experts, "how old is too old?" and "how young is too young?," as well as talking to the queen of plastic surgery, Joan Rivers.
With reports from Deborah Roberts and Bill Ritter, "The Cutting Edge" takes a fascinating look at male plastic surgery, including the very painful and expensive procedures involved in making men taller.
"The Cutting Edge" airs on "20/20" on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
David Sloan is executive producer of "20/20".
