"PAYBACK" ON "20/20," FRIDAY, JUNE 1 ON ABC
When someone does you wrong, payback can be your best friend. From catching a teacher bullying a student, to a man saddled with a $43,000 bar bill for one night he doesn't even remember, "20/20" reports on people who took matters into their own hands to right a wrong. Anchored by Chris Cuomo, "Payback" airs on "20/20," FRIDAY, JUNE 1 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Reports include:
Girl Crime Ring: An alleged Eastern European crime ring used sexy women to lure vacationing men into their questionable Miami nightclubs. Once inside, they got the men drunk and, investigators say, racked up huge and often fraudulent tabs on their credit cards. But one man who was victimized, TV weatherman John Bolaris, fought back and spurred an FBI investigation and bust. Chris Cuomo takes viewers inside the undercover investigation.
Teacher vs. Student: Fifteen-year-old Julio Artuz claimed his teacher was verbally abusing him. His parents know that teachers have the hardest job in the world and are well trained to deal with classroom conflicts, so they doubted their son was telling them the truth. Julio needed proof, and with his parents' permission, he brought his cell phone to school. When he returned home, they couldn't believe what they saw. Cuomo reports.
Video Pranks: What do you do when your significant other pranks you on camera and uploads the video to YouTube? In this day and age, you don't get madyou get viral. That's exactly what the internet couple known only as Jess and Jeana have been doing to each other for the last six years in an epic prank war that has racked up over 150 million clicks on their YouTube page alone. John Berman gives viewers an inside look at their crazy take on love.
Payback Trax: Chris Connelly profiles some of the best payback songs of recent memory -- songs written by the artists about the person who did them wrong -- and they want to whole world to know about it.
David Sloan is executive producer of "20/20."
