Friends of the People is truTV's first-ever sketch-comedy series. In the show, comedians Kevin Barnett, Jennifer Bartels, Jermaine Fowler, Lil Rel Howery, The Lucas Bros. and Josh Rabinowitz provide a fresh and unique take on sketch comedy, with a combination of scripted scenes, man-on-the-street segments and more.

The Friends of the People cast debut sketches that include an overly dramatic driving instructor who takes students on the ride of their lives, a retrospective of the Lucas Bros. segment "Squabblin' & Quarrelin'" and a trip to the alternate dimension known as "Hammer Time." Plus, the cast puts Josh's dancing abilities to the test. Guest stars include retired NBA star John Salley and actor Marcos A. Gonzalez.
