Burbank, CA (January 5, 2015) Joe puts his foot down on parenting Dani, but Mel - wanting to be the "cool" stepmom - lets Dani break the rules on an all-new episode of "Melissa & Joey," airing Wednesday, January 21 (8:00PM ET/PT) on ABC Family.

Dani wants to go on a date with a boy at school, but Joe tells her she's too young. So she tricks Mel into taking her anyway, putting Mel in the awkward situation of wanting to be the cool stepmom but having to lie to Joe.

Meanwhile, Lennox and Marco (guest star Kevin Fonteyne) run into Zander (guest star Sterling Knight) and are outed as a couple.
