CRISTELA IS WORRIED SHE'LL MISS HENRY'S CONFIRMATION SINCE SHE HAS
TO STAND BY TRENT'S SIDE TO SHOW HE'S NOT RACIST, ON ABC'S "CRISTELA"
"Confirmation" - Cristela's loyalties to both home and work are tested when she promises to be Henry's sponsor for his confirmation ceremony and Trent asks her to be by his side at a fundraising event. Then, after Maddie posts a video online and Trent is seen in the background making what are perceived as racist comments, he holds a press conference in an attempt to clear his name, on "Cristela," FRIDAY, MARCH 13 (8:31-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
"Cristela" stars Cristela Alonzo as Cristela, Carlos Ponce as Felix, Maria Canals-Barrera as Daniela, Terri Hoyos as Natalia, Andrew Leeds as Josh, Sam McMurray as Trent, Justine Lupe as Maddie, Jacob Guenther as Henry, and Isabella Day as Isabella. Stand-up sensation Gabriel Iglesias ("The Fluffy Movie") appears in a recurring role as Alberto.
"Confirmation" was written by Kay Cannon and directed by Robbie Countryman.
"Cristela" was co-created by Cristela Alonzo and Kevin Hench. Executive producers are Kevin Hench, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements. Alonzo is co-executive producer. "Cristela" is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television.
"Cristela" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 channel surround sound and available in Spanish -- SAP. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to airdate.
