"20/20" takes viewers inside an all-time classic con, right out of a Hollywood script - a game of deceit and double dealing starring a mild-mannered millionaire who went looking for love in all the wrong places. Ralph Raines, a quiet and socially awkward heir to a $15 million fortune built by his father, was a simple man living alone on his family's tree farm in Oregon. Ralph had little use for money; what he really wanted was a family - a loving wife, a child of his own.

Among his hobbies -- an interest in the occult. So he thought it was good fortune when a psychic reader named Rachel Lee came to town. Over time, Ralph will reveal everything about his desperate desire for companionship... and his family's money. That was the beginning of an intricate, decade-long scam hatched by Rachel Lee. Before the feds could bust the scam wide open, there would be millions spent on expensive homes and cars, first-class trips around the world, and the mysterious child who Ralph believed was his son.

David Wright's report, which includes an exclusive interview with Ralph Raines, as well as never before seen photos, airs on "20/20" on FRIDAY, MAY 29 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
