When People See a Situation that Cries Out for Action, Do They Step Up and Say Something or Step Away?

When you think no one is watching... what would you do? Using hidden cameras, "What Would You Do?" establishes everyday scenarios and then captures people's reactions. Whether people are compelled to act or mind their own business, John Qui�ones reports on their split-second and often surprising decision-making process. "What Would You Do?" airs FRIDAY, JULY 10 (9:02-10:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.

Friday, July 10 scenarios include:

· What would you do if a beautiful young woman asked you to pretend to be her boyfriend for 10 minutes, just so she can appease her meddling mother? How far would you go to keep up the lie?

· What would you do if you witnessed an older sibling bullying her adopted younger sister because she is of a different race?

· An elderly woman is shopping at a grocery store and asks random strangers for help. Yet the strangers have no idea what they're in for as the elderly person starts asking questions about everything. How will the helpers react?

· A customer pays for her order with money she's taken out of the tip jar at a local coffee shop. How will other customers react?

· In a preview of the July 17 Texas travel show, a Hispanic man and his Caucasian girlfriend are on a date at a local San Antonio restaurant, when they begin to be harassed by another customer, a Hispanic woman. She tells them that they should stick to their own kind and that races should not mix. How will bystanders react?

"What Would You Do?" has won awards from the Chicago International Television Festival and the Avon Foundation's 2006 Voice of Change award for exposing "injustice and wrongdoing against women and bring the issue of domestic violence to the mainstream."
