RUNNING LOW ON MONEY, MONICA DECIDES TO TAKE A JOB, BUT SPIRIT KEEPS GETTING IN THE WAY ON AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF ABC FAMILY'S "MONICA THE MEDIUM," AIRING TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 AT 8:00PM ET/PT

Burbank, CA (August 18, 2015) - Monica finds herself low on funds and is forced to look for a job, but try as she might to suppress it, Spirit keeps popping up. "Monica the Medium" airs Tuesday, September 1st (8:00 PM -ET/PT) on ABC Family.

Monica's roommates and sisters insist she get a "real" job to help pay for her share of the bills. When Monica starts applying, she gets a lot of startled looks from employers who find out she's a spirit medium. After accepting an offer to work at a boutique, she tries her best to suppress her gifts but ends up reading several customers. Will she be able to keep the new job, or will Spirit get her fired?

Monica the Medium follows Monica, a college junior navigating friends, family, relationships - and the fact that she's a medium and can talk to dead people. Her uncommon vocation provides an endless supply of emotional and engaging stories, with a unique millennial perspective. The show is produced by Dave Caplan's Trooper Entertainment in association with Lionsgate TV. Caplan will serve as executive producer alongside Malachi McGlone. It's in production in State College, PA.
