THE WOMAN IN THE VIDEO
Dalia Dippolito Breaks Her Silence About Allegedly Hiring a Hitman to Kill Her Husband,
All Caught on Tape
Airing on "20/20," Friday, December 4, 10 p.m., EST, on ABC
One of South Florida's most sensational trials is about to be replayed. Dalia Dippolito was recorded on video tape allegedly hiring a hit man to kill her newlywed husband - and then was convicted by a jury that needed only three hours of deliberation. But now, her lawyers have another chance as an appeals court has ruled the jury pool was tainted and Dippolito's case will be re-tried. Dippolito, who the prosecutor called "Poison Candy" in a book about the case and who became an internet sensation after the police released undercover footage online, did not testify in the first trial and has never been interviewed - that is until now. She tells her side of the story for the first time to "20/20" as she waits for another chance in court. Amy Robach's report, which also features interviews with other key players, airs on "20/20," on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4 (10:00-11:00 p.m., EST) on ABC.
"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and David Muir. David Sloan is senior executive producer.
