An all new episode of AMC's "Preacher" airs Sunday, June 5th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. On the second episode, "See," written by Sam Catlin and directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, Jesse tries to be a "good preacher," unaware that a mysterious duo is after him. Meanwhile we meet the enigmatic Cowboy. Critics continue to rave about the series, including Ross A. Lincoln of Deadline.com, who said, "Anyone doubting that the seminal 1990s comic series Preacher could be successfully translated for television may now consider their concerns moot."
Based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's popular '90's comic book franchise of the same name, "Preacher" is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy come together and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
The Sony Pictures Television and AMC Studios co-production was developed for television by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg ("This Is the End," "Superbad," "Neighbors") and showrunner Sam Catlin ("Breaking Bad"). Along with Catlin, Rogen and Goldberg executive produce the series through their Point Grey banner, along with Neal Moritz's Original Film. "Preacher" stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga as Tulip, Joseph Gilgun, as Cassidy, Lucy Griffiths as Emily, Anatol Yusef as DeBlanc, Tom Brooke as Fiore, W. Earl Brown as Sherriff Root, Ian Colletti as Eugene/Arseface, and Derek Wilson as Donnie Schenck.
The debut episode of AMC's "Feed the Beast" airs Sunday, June 5th at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. On the premiere episode, "Pilot Light" - written by Clyde Phillips and directed by Steve Shill - faced with a serious debt to the mob, Dion tries to convince his best friend Tommy to rekindle their dream of opening a restaurant in The Bronx. Critics are already raving about the series, including Kellie Freeze of DISH's The Hopper, who said, "If you're hungry for juicy drama set against the vibrant and visceral culinary industry, AMC's new offering, 'Feed the Beast,' should satisfy your most carnal cravings."
The series, then moves to its regular Tuesday night time slot on June 7. On that night, viewers will be offered an encore of the show's premiere episode at 9:00 p.m. ET and its all-new second episode at 10:00 p.m. ET. On the second episode, "Father of the Year" - written by David Babcock and directed by Steve Shill - Tommy and Dion court an unlikely investor - Tommy's estranged father. Plus, TJ's troubles at school lead to a dangerous misunderstanding at home.
"Feed the Beast," starring David Schwimmer ("American Crime Story," "Band of Brothers," "Friends") and Jim Sturgess (21, Across the Universe, Cloud Atlas), is about two best friends, Tommy Moran (Schwimmer) and Dion Patras (Sturgess), who take one last shot at their dream of opening a restaurant in the Bronx.
The cast also includes Michael Gladis ("Mad Men," "House of Lies"), as Patrick Woichik, aka The Tooth Fairy, the soft spoken, brutally intimidating local mobster with a penchant for pulling teeth; Lorenza Izzo (The Green Inferno, Sex Ed), as Pilar Herrera, a woman who meets Tommy in a grief group, and is desperately searching for true love; Christine Adams (Batman Begins, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."), as Tommy's late wife Rie Moran, John Doman ("The Wire," "The Affair"), as Tommy's father Aidan Moran, a shrewd and ruthless businessman and unapologetic racist; and Elijah Jacob ("Spot On") as Tommy's ten year old son TJ Moran.
"Feed the Beast" is produced by AMC Studios and Lionsgate in association with Clyde Phillips Productions. Executive producers are Phillips, Henrik Ruben Genz ("Bankerot," "Borgen"), Malene Blenkov ("Bankerot") and Piv Bernth ("The Killing," "Forbrydelsen" and "Bron/Broen").
An all new episode of AMC's Revolutionary War era spy thriller "TURN: Washington's Spies" airs the following night, Monday, June 6th at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. This season builds towards one of the most notorious moments in American history - the treasonous defection of Benedict Arnold (Owain Yeoman). Behind enemy lines on Long Island, Abe Woodhull (Jamie Bell) is a spy for the Patriots, reporting directly to George Washington (Ian Kahn). Embedded within the Continental Army, Benedict Arnold is seduced to become an informant for the British. As the consequences of their espionage ripple through the battlefield, the spy game becomes a heart-stopping race to see which mole will be unmasked first. In 1778, there is only one fate that awaits a captured spy - the hangman's noose. The price for treason is blood, and not all of our heroes will survive.
On the seventh episode, "Judgement" - written by Scott Gunnison Miller and directed by Omar Madha - Mary tries to kill Simcoe on her own. Benedict Arnold defends himself in his court-martial. Ben reunites with the woman who saved his life.
"TURN: Washington's Spies," is based on the book Washington's Spies by Alexander Rose. In addition to Bell, Yeoman and Kahn, the series stars Seth Numrich as Benjamin Tallmadge, Daniel Henshall as Caleb Brewster, Heather Lind as Anna Strong, Kevin R. McNally as Judge Richard Woodhull, Meegan Warner as Mary Woodhull, Burn Gorman as Major Hewlett, Angus Macfadyen as Robert Rogers, JJ Feild as Major John André, Samuel Roukin as Captain John Simcoe, Ksenia Solo as Peggy Shippen and Nick Westrate as Robert Townsend.
