"48 HOURS" SATURDAY DOUBLE FEATURE

Saturday, July 20

48 HOURS: "Dead Ringer" - 9:00 PM, ET/PT

Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS take viewers inside the twisted tale of a man whose murder was ordered - and who lived to talk about it - in an encore of "Dead Ringer" to be broadcast Saturday, July 20 (9:00 PM)
on the CBS Television Network. Ramon Sosa, a former professional boxer, was a family man and the popular owner of Woodlands Boxing and Fitness in Montgomery County, Texas. He seemed to have it all: a beautiful wife, Lulu; a healthy family; and a booming business. And then, suddenly, someone wanted him dead. Van Sant and 48 HOURS investigate the twists and turns of a complex sting operation to catch the person who wanted Sosa dead. In the sting, Sosa had to become an undercover operative, eventually working with law enforcement to stage his own death. Sosa learned through a friend who goes by the alias Mundo that someone was trying to hire a hit man to kill him. Sosa thought his friend, a former gang member, was joking. What Sosa and Mundo did next is unbelievable, stunning and all true.

48 HOURS: "In The Name of Hate" - 10:00 PM, ET/PT

Tracy Smith and 48 HOURS examine the murder of brilliant Ivy League student Blaze Bernstein and the investigation that led his high school classmate Sam Woodward to be charged with killing the University of Pennsylvania student, in an encore of "In The Name of Hate" to be broadcast Saturday, July 20 (10:00 PM)
on the CBS Television Network. Smith talks with the parents of Bernstein, who was allegedly murdered because he was gay and Jewish. The family opens up about the loss of their son, the neo-Nazi hate group that may have fueled anger in his alleged killer, and what they're doing to move forward. The murder of Bernstein raises troubling questions concerning anti-Semitism and homophobia, issues that are at the heart of the nation's current struggle to define itself.
