After a string of bad contacts, Argentina's greatest heavyweight boxer, Oscar "Ringo" Bonavena, arrives in Nevada in 1976 seeking to restart his career. There, Ringo unknowingly stumbles into the criminal world of Joe Conforte, who promises Ringo a bright future. But a bright future would not come, nor a sought-after rematch against Ali, as the boxer would be found dead in three months' time.

A victim of abusive contracts and his own ambition, Ringo’s path leads him to Reno, Nevada, where his life takes a fatal turn after getting involved with the mob. |
