DESCRIPTION:
(from Hallmark Channel's press release, October 2016) Stars: Emilie Ullerup ("Chesapeake Shores"), Kristoffer Polaha ("Castle"), Sharon Lawrence ("NYPD Blue"); For the NICU nurses at Community Memorial Hospital, every "premie" heartbeat is a precious gift. So when, Jenny Miller (Ullerup) finds out that head nurse Alice Shelby (Lawrence), the NICU's very heart and soul, is being forced into early retirement as part of a cost-cutting plan initiated by the hospital's new CFO, Matt Crawford (Polaha), Jenny and her colleagues decide to give her a sendoff to remember, turning the annual Christmas party into a tribute for Alice. But after witnessing first-hand the gratitude of parents whose child has been so lovingly cared for by Alice, Jenny and the other nurses there, he hatches another cost-cutting plan that will save jobs, while allowing the staff to continue providing the excellent care they have given to so many over the years. |
