Pilot Update: March 13, Part 2

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- An addendum to this morning's development news, culled from various wire reports:

ALL GROWN UP (CBS) - "Spin City" alumnus Alexander Chaplin has been added to the ensemble cast of the CBS comedy pilot "All Grown Up," about childhood friends who adjust to two of them becoming parents.

COLD CASES (CBS) - Mel Winkler ("Doc Hollywood") has joined the cast of the Jerry Bruckheimer-Meredith Stiehm drama pilot, about a detective (Kathryn Morris) who works on cold cases. Winkler will play an experienced member of the homicide division.

HOMELAND SECURITY (NBC) - Actor-model Ben Youcef has been added to the cast of NBC's two-hour pilot, about the workings of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He will play Josef Adel, an Arab-American college student with a secret.

HOTEL (UPN) - Michael Jai White ("Spawn") has signed on to co-star in UPN's drama pilot presentation, based on the 1980s drama series. White will play the head of security at a ritzy, hip Miami hotel.

THE MALLARDS (FOX) - Aaron Paul ("K-PAX") has joined the cast of the comedy, about a party guy who lives with a blue-collar family with an unjustified sense of entitlement. Paul will play of the family's two sons.

MISS MATCH (NBC) - JoBeth Williams has been tapped to guest star in the NBC dramedy pilot, playing the mother of the central character, a family attorney who doubles as a professional matchmaker (Alicia Silverstone). The role is potentially recurring.

NIP/TUCK (FX) - Valerie Cruz (CBS' "The Agency") has been added to the cast of the pilot which focuses on two South Florida plastic surgeons (Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon). She will play the new in-house psychologist at their office.

STILL LIFE (FOX) - Morena Baccarin ("Firefly") has joined the cast of Fox's drama pilot, a family drama told from the point of view of their recently deceased 20-year-old son. She will play Maggie, the girlfriend of the dead young man and a love interest for his brother.

TOUCHING EVIL (USA) - Zach Grenier ("Fight Club") has joined the cast of USA Network's pilot "Touching Evil," about a brilliant detective (Jeffrey Donovan) who, after surviving a near-fatal gunshot to the head, focuses on solving shocking and high-profile crimes. Grenier will play the detective's boss.

UNTITLED RON WHITE PROJECT (FOX) - Brent Sexton ("A.I. Artificial Intelligence") and Yvonne Delarossa have joined the cast of the project, about a couple (Melinda McGraw and White) who run a pottery factory in Mexico.

WEAPON X (UPN) - Marina Black (HBO's "Six Feet Under") has been cast in drama pilot, about a National Security Agency technician (Christopher Gorham) who becomes a superhero after accidentally being injected with nanobots. Black will play the technician's love interest.
