CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- UPN is sticking behind its struggling drama "Jake 2.0" as the netlet has picked up the series for a full season of 22 episodes.
"'Jake 2.0' is a fresh twist on the superhero genre, and we're really pleased with the quality of the show, the talented cast and the creative team behind it," UPN entertainment president Dawn Ostroff said in a statement to the press.
Last night's episode of the series managed a miniscule 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 based on fast national data, less than half of its nearest time slot competition (the WB's "Angel," 2.0) and down 40% from lead-in "Star Trek: Enterprise" (1.5). For its six first-run broadcasts this season, "Jake" is averaging 2.78 million viewers.
David Greenwalt, Silvio Horta, Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo are the executive producers of the series, which comes from Viacom Productions and Roundtable Entertainment.
