Network Orders Second Season of Critically Acclaimed Drama

Basic Cable�s Highest Rated New Series of 2004 Among Adult 18-49 Viewers

Seven All New Episodes of First Season Run Through October 13 Wednesdays at 10 pm e/p

LOS ANGELES, August 24, 2004 � The boys of 62 Truck will be along for another ride as FX has picked up the most critically acclaimed new series of the year Rescue Me for a second season, announced John Landgraf, FX President of Entertainment.

Premiering with the third highest Adult 18-49 audience in basic cable history on July 21st, Rescue Me has ranked as the highest-rated new original basic cable series* among Adults 18-49 (2 million), Men 18-49 (1.1 million), Men 18-34 (515,000) and Women 25-54 (900,000) season-to-date. Rescue Me has also delivered the highest ratings of any Wednesday night program on basic cable in these demos. Compared to the same time period in 2003, Rescue Me has increased FX�s Wednesday 10 PM time period by 183% in HH rating, 196% in total viewers and 272% among Adults 18-49. Each week Rescue Me reaches an average of 9.5 million viewers cumulatively.

Next Wednesday�s (Sept. 1, 10 PM ET/PT) seventh episode of Rescue Me is titled �Butterfly.� When Tommy (Denis Leary) asks for extra vacation time, Chief Reilly (Jack McGee) tips him off on how to get a free two week vacation from headquarters. While building a deck for Tommy�s neighbor, Tommy takes advantage of his �free� advice which leads him to make a bold move in reconciling with Janet (Andrea Roth). Rescue Me revolves around the lives of the men in a New York City firehouse, the crew of 62 Truck. Examining the fraternal nature and relationships of firefighters, the series tackles the daily drama of the life-and-death situations associated with being a firefighter, while exploring the ways the men use dark humor to protect their true emotions. Rescue Me stars Leary, Michael Lombardi, James McCaffrey, Jack McGee, Steven Pasquale, Andrea Roth, John Scurti and Daniel Sunjata, and was created by Leary and Peter Tolan, who serve as executive producers along with Jim Serpico. The series is produced by Apostle Pictures, The Cloudland Company and DreamWorks Television in association with Sony Pictures Television.
