Former Democratic Presidential candidate Howard Dean visits the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Monday, Oct. 4 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Dean's new book, You Have the Power: How to Take Back Our Country and Restore Democracy in America, was released in bookstores this week. Before his run as a 2004 Democratic Presidential candidate, Dean had served as governor of Vermont from August 1991; as lieutenant governor of the state since 1986, he became governor upon the death of Gov. Richard Snelling, was later elected to a full term in 1992 and then reelected four times. A doctor of internal medicine, Dean began his political career in 1983 as a member of the Vermont House of Representatives.
This will be Dean's second appearance on the LATE SHOW -- he presented the Top Ten List on the CBS late night broadcast Jan. 22, 2004.
