'JAG' STAR PUTS THE 'ACT' IN ACTION
David James Elliott's role as a Navy pilot-turned-lawyer with the Judge Advocate
General Corps, is demanding in more ways than one. The storylines of "JAG," which
reports for duty on Hallmark Channel beginning Monday, October 4 (8/7c), vary from
taut courtroom drama to action-adventure to romantic-comedy fantasy, challenging
Elliott to call upon a wide range of acting skills.
As "JAG" enters its 10th season, Elliott remains passionate about the show's
meaty courtroom scenes - his favorites. Fans, on the other hand, love the scenes with
state-of-the-art military hardware.
"Chasing bad guys - that's exhausting work," he says. "And the jet stuff - that's
hard, too. It's just a nightmare to shoot. It looks great when it's done. You're glad you
went through the agony, but at that moment you're like cursing your fortune, going,
'Write another courtroom scene, please!'"
