VH1 Asks America to Vote for the New Cast of The Partridge Family on VH1'S 'in Search of The Partridge Family: The Finale' Premiering Sunday, October 17 at 9:00 PM*

NEW YORK, Oct. 15 -- VH1 is placing the decision in America's hands to vote and decide who will be the next Keith, Danny, Shirley and Laurie Partridge on "In Search of the Partridge Family: The Finale." David Cassidy, Shirley Jones and Danny Bonaduce will join host Todd Newton and 8 of the "Partridge" finalists on stage.

David Cassidy, Shirley Jones and Danny Bonaduce have been involved in each episode from the beginning and have spent time with each contestant giving them advice on acting and teaching them what it means to be a "Partridge." These finalists have also all attended "Partridge Boot Camp" which consisted of working with an acting coach, a vocal coach, a fashion consultant and make-up stylist to create the perfect Partridge. With the help of America's votes, VH1 has narrowed the new "Partridge" family down to eight finalists, two for each character.

The decision is now left up to VH1 viewers, as their votes alone will determine the ultimate winners. On Sunday, the new Partridge family will be revealed to America and perform together as a band for the first time. They'll be singing "Love can Start a Revolution" the new theme song for the updated series written by Billy Mann. Also present on stage will be Dave Madden (Reuben), Brian Forester (Chris) and Suzanne Crough (Tracey). The new "family" will then be whisked away to begin rehearsals for a sitcom pilot that will debut on VH1 in late fall and will be co-executive produced by David Cassidy. The pilot is being written by comedic team, Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein who previously executive produced "The Simpsons."

"The Partridge Family," a TV hit from 1970-74, chronicled the adventures of America's beloved pop star family. Please visit http://www.vh1/partridge.com for additional information on "In Search of the Partridge Family."
