CHRIS ELLIOTT GUEST STARS ON NBC'S 'THIRD WATCH' AS SERIAL SLAYER, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22, 10-11 P.M.

NEW YORK -- October 20, 2004 -- NBC's "Third Watch" features Chris Elliott ("Something about Mary") in the next two episodes guest starring as Jeffrey Barton, a clever killer who drains his victim's blood, (Fridays, 10-11 p.m. ET). Elliott will appear in episode five and six on October 22nd and 29th, respectively.

In episode five which airs Friday October 22, New Detective Yokas (Molly Price) teams up with Lieutenant Miller (guest star Aidan Quinn, "Legends of the Fall") on a crusade to hunt down Barton, after another innocent girl is found dumped and drained of her blood.

This leads into episode six, Friday October 29, when Detectives Yokas and Miller are on to him, and race against the clock playing mind games with Barton, to convince him to reveal the hidden location of his latest victim. It soon becomes clear that Miller and the slayer are locked in a cat-and-mouse game dating back for years. Anthony Ruivivar, Cara Buono, Coby Bell, Skipp Sudduth, Nia Long, Tia Texada, Bonnie Dennison and Josh Stewart also star.

Elliott's television performances also include appearances on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Later with Bob Costas," "The Larry Sanders Show" and "Late Night with Daivd Letterman," where he created a number of memorable characters. From 1994-95, Elliot also appeared on NBC's "Saturday Night Live." His additional feature-film credits include "Scary Movie 2," "The Nutty Professor 2," "Snow Day," "Kingpin," "CB4," "The Sky is Falling" (in which he played Santa Claus), "Cabin Boy" and "The Abyss."

"Third Watch" -- now in its sixth season -- is a John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. John Wells, Christopher Chulack, and Edward Allen Bernero are the executive producers.
