The Producers Guild Awards are awarded to those producers who are eligible pursuant to the PGAs Rules and Procedures for Accreditation. The PGA conducts an accreditation process on the nominated television programs and theatrical motion pictures to determine which producers performed a majority of the producing functions from development through production and post production. If a specific credited producer thought s/he was excluded after the accreditation process, the producer was able to file a formal appeal for inclusion, which was decided upon by the PGA Accreditation Committee.
