QUEEN LATIFAH TO HOST �THE 47TH ANNUAL GRAMMY� AWARDS,� LIVE FROM STAPLES CENTER IN LOS ANGELES, FEB. 13 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

Queen Latifah will host and perform on THE 47TH ANNUAL GRAMMY� AWARDS, to be broadcast live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Sunday, Feb. 13 (8:00-11:30 PM live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Highlighting this year�s Grammy nominations are Kanye West with 10 nominations; Alicia Keys and Usher with eight nominations each; Ray Charles, who posthumously received seven nominations; Green Day with six nominations; and Norah Jones, Loretta Lynn, Prince and engineer Al Schmitt who each received five nominations.
Queen Latifah is a seminal hip-hop artist who is also one of music�s most respected rappers. Her 1989 debut album, All Hail the Queen, set the standard for female rappers. Her first vocal album, The Dana Owens Album, is a collection of classics that includes soul, blues and pop songs, and has earned her a nomination for Best Jazz Vocal Album this year. She is also an accomplished actress and earned an Academy Award nomination, a Golden Globe nomination and a SAG Award nomination for her role in the feature film �Chicago.� Her other feature film credits include �Taxi,� �Barbershop 2: Back in Business,� �Set It Off,� �The Bone Collector� and the upcoming �Beautyshop.� Her television credits include the mini-series �Mama Flora�s Family� and �Living With the Dead,� both on the Network.
The Grammy Awards, considered to the music industry�s highest accolades, are presented by the Recording Academy.
THE 47TH ANNUAL GRAMMY� AWARDS are produced by Cossette Productions for The Recording Academy. Ken Ehrlich and John Cossette are the executive producers; Walter C. Miller is the producer/director; Tisha Fein is the coordinating producer.
