CBS Announces Four New Original Television Movies for Broadcast as 'The CBS Sunday Movie' in March, April and May

Three Theatrical Films Make Their Network Television Debut

CBS today announced airdates for four new original movies, a new "Hallmark Hall of Fame" presentation and three theatrical films that will make their Network television debut.

From the producers of "Category 6: Day of Destruction" -- CBS's most watched scripted movie event since May 2000 -- comes two thrillers: SPRING BREAK SHARK ATTACK, now in production in South Africa, and LOCUSTS!, now in pre-production in New Orleans with production to start in mid-February.

Christina Applegate, Johnathon Schaech, Madeleine Stowe, Bruce Greenwood, Kathy Baker, Bryan Brown, Tom Everett Scott, Alexa Davalos and Lucy Lawless are among the stars set to appear in the movie lineup.

The following are airdates for original CBS movies and theatrical films making their Network television debut:

SAVING MILLY, Sunday, March 13 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), stars Madeline Stowe ("The Last of the Mohicans") and Bruce Greenwood ("Being Julia") in a drama, based on the best-selling book and real-life journey of political journalist Morton Kondracke, that recounts his inspiring love story with his activist wife, Milly, and the dramatic change in their lives in the years after she is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Dan Curtis ("The Love Letter"), David Kennedy ("Our Fathers") and Daniel H. Blatt ("When Angels Come to Town") are the executive producers for Dan Curtis Productions/Daniel H. Blatt Productions, along with Frances Croke Page and Elaine Frontain Bryant from Magna Global Entertainment.

SPRING BREAK SHARK ATTACK, Sunday, March 20 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), stars Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Kathy Baker ("Picket Fences") and Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominee Bryan Brown ("The Thorn Birds") in a thriller about the invasion of a group of killer sharks on the Florida coast as a beach full of swimsuit-clad co-eds enjoy their spring break from school. Frank von Zerneck and Robert M. Sertner ("Category 6: Day of Destruction") JJ Jamieson ("Sorority Life") and David Wicht ("Blast!") are the executive producers for von Zerneck/Sertner Films.

HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS, Sunday, March 27 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), stars Matthew McConaughey ("Edtv") and Golden Globe Award winner and Academy Award nominee Kate Hudson ("Almost Famous") in a comedy about an advertising executive who, to win a big campaign, bets that he can make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days. (Network television premiere)

JOHN Q, Sunday, April 3 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), stars Academy Award winner Denzel Washington ("Training Day," "Glory"), Academy Award winner Robert Duvall ("Tender Mercies"), Emmy Award winner James Woods ("My Name Is Bill W.," "Promise") and Emmy Award nominee Anne Heche ("Gracie's Choice") in a tense drama about a father who holds a hospital emergency room hostage when his insurance company will not cover his son's heart transplant. (Network television premiere)

HIGH CRIMES, Sunday, April 10 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), stars Golden Globe Award nominee Ashley Judd ("De-Lovely," "Norma Jean & Marilyn") and Golden Globe Award winner and Academy Award nominee Morgan Freeman ("Driving Miss Daisy") in a drama about a high-powered attorney whose world is turned upside down when her husband is arrested for murders committed while he was in the service, and she discovers he has a different identity. JAMES PATTERSON'S SUZANNE'S DIARY FOR NICHOLAS, Sunday, April 17 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), stars Emmy Award winner Christina Applegate ("Friends") and Johnathon Schaech ("Judas") in a drama based on author James Patterson's New York Times best-selling novel about a woman who discovers the truth about her lover from the diary his wife wrote to their son. Lourdes Diaz ("And Starring Pancho Villa As Himself"), Robert B. Sturm ("One Hour Photo") and James Patterson are the executive producers for Fox Television Studios.

LOCUSTS!, Sunday, April 24 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), stars Lucy Lawless ("Xena: Warrior Princess," "Tarzan") in a thriller about of a deadly breed of bioengineered locusts that form multiple swarms, covering thousands of square miles, creating a new and unimaginable threat to the United States. Frank von Zerneck, Robert M. Sertner and Jill Tanner ("They Shoot Divas, Don't They?") are the executive producers for von Zerneck/Sertner Films.

RIDING THE BUS WITH MY SISTER, Sunday, May 1 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), stars multiple Emmy Award winner Rosie O'Donnell ("The Rosie O'Donnell Show") and Andie MacDowell ("Dinner With Friends"), in an inspiring true story about the unbreakable bond between two very different sisters. Emmy Award-nominated producer Larry Sanitsky ("The Last Don," "Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All") and Rosie O'Donnell are executive producers for Hallmark Hall of Fame Productions in association The Sanitsky Company. Academy Award winner Anjelica Huston ("Prizzi's Honor") directed the movie.

ELVIS, a new four-hour mini-series based on the life of Elvis Presley, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers ("Bend It Like Beckham") as Elvis Presley, Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Camryn Manheim ("The Practice") as Gladys Presley, Golden Globe Award winner Randy Quaid ("LBJ: The Early Years") as "Colonel" Tom Parker and Rose McGowan ("Charmed") as Ann-Margret, was previously announced for Sunday, May 8 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) and Wednesday, May 11 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT).
