"AMERICA'S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK" WARNS SPRING BREAK STUDENTS HEADING SOUTH OF THE BORDER OF KIDNAPPINGS AND WORSE, MARCH 12 ON FOX
In a two-part series, AMERICA'S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK investigates the epidemic of kidnappings in Mexico, particularly along the Texas border. U.S. authorities believe the kidnappings of Americans along the border can be traced to the ongoing war between drug cartels. AMW sends a warning to those students heading south for Spring Break in this week's episode airing Saturday, March 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Over the past six months, 31 Americans have been reported as kidnapped just across the Mexican border. Twelve have returned and two have been confirmed killed, according to U.S. officials. Seventeen are unaccounted for, somewhere in the Nuevo Laredo area of Mexico - dead or alive.
In last week's episode, AMW featured the case of two missing women who, on Sept. 17, 2004, crossed the border from Laredo, TX to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, to go to a Pepe Aguilar concert. Both are still missing.
