TNT Wins Total Day among Targeted Adult Demos, Tops Prime among Adults 25-54, Persons 2+ and Households

What Women Want on TNT Ranks as Top Theatrical Movie for the Week

Law & Order on TNT Outperforms Programming on NBC, UPN and The WB

TNT continues to ride the wave of success by ranking as ad-supported cable�s #1 network for the week in total day among targeted adult demos, while also winning in prime among adults 25-54, persons 2+ and households, according to data from Nielsen Media Research. Driving TNT�s success for the week were the Mel Gibson romance What Women Want and continued strong performances from Law & Order, which outperformed programming on NBC, UPN and The WB.

Weekly ratings highlights for TNT:

-- In prime, TNT ranked as ad-supported cable�s #1 network for the week among adults 25-54 (1,137,000), persons 2+ (2,332,000) and households (1,850,000).

-- In total day, TNT ranked as ad-supported cable�s #1 network among adults 18-49 (640,000) and adults 25-54 (659,000), while also coming in second to sister network Adult Swim among adults 18-34 (284,000).

-- TNT�s Sunday, April 10, telecast of What Women Want ranked as ad-supported cable�s #1 theatrical movie for the week among adults 18-34 (784,000), adults 18-49 (1,659,000) and adults 25-54 (1,638,000), while also outperforming such Sunday programs as FOX�s 24 and The WB�s Charmed and Steve Harvey�s Big Time in those same categories, as well as persons 2+ and households.

-- Law & Order on TNT continues to show strength, with three telecasts ranking in ad-supported cable�s top 10 among adults 25-54, persons 2+ and households. The Monday, April 4, 10 p.m. telecast outdelivered The WB�s 7th Heaven and UPN�s Cuts, Half and Half and One on One among adults 18-49, while that night�s 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. episodes easily beat all programming for the night on UPN and The WB among adults 25-54, persons 2+ and households. The Tuesday, April 5, 9 p.m. telecast of Law & Order outperformed NBC�s Scrubs (8:30 p.m.) and Will & Grace and all Tuesday programs on UPN and The WB among households, as well as all Tuesday programs on UPN and Starlet on The WB among adults 18-49.

For the 2004-05 broadcast season to date, the combined seven broadcast networks� 45.4 household share is down 4 percent vs. the first 29 weeks of the 2003-04 season, while ad-supported cable is currently posting a 52.1 household share, up 5 percent vs. the first 29 weeks of the 2003-04 season.

TNT and TBS are both exhibiting growth for the broadcast season to date in their targeted demos when compared to the same time period last year. For TNT, delivery of adults 18-49 is up 7 percent in prime and 6 percent in total day, while delivery of adults 25-54 is up 6 percent in prime and 4 percent in total day. TBS�s delivery of adults 18-34 is up 12 percent in prime and 3 percent in total day.

For 2005 to date, TNT is showing growth among adults 18-49 (prime +9 percent; total day +11 percent) and adults 25-54 (prime +7 percent; total day +7 percent), while TBS is showing prime growth among adults 18-34 (+14 percent) and adults 18-49 (+4 percent).
