Get The Low Down On The D.L.! "Weekends At The D.L." Starring D.L. Hughley Debuts Friday, July 29 At 11:00 P.M.

Half-Hour Late Night Series Airs Friday - Sunday At 11:00 P.M.

NEW YORK, July 11, 2005 -- The hippest weekend party in town kicks off every Friday night at 11:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL with "Weekends at the D.L." starring D.L. Hughley. Hang out with D.L. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at 11:00 p.m. as he takes a comedic, topical look on what's on people's minds, be it pop culture, celebrities, current events or whatever everyone's buzzing about. Add some great music, celebrity guests and outrageous spontaneous conversation and it's the perfect place to kick back and party every weekend night. "Weekends at the D.L." is executive produced by D.L. Hughley and Emmy Award-winning producer Robert Morton (?Late Show with David Letterman?).

Shot in front of a studio audience, "Weekends at the D.L." is a hip new take on the late night talk show format. Each night will have a slightly different tone: Friday will be a weekend kick-off, Saturday will be an upbeat party and Sunday will be a winding down of the weekend. Veteran comedian D.L. brings a suave sensibility and downtown vibe to late night with stand-up, sketch segments and conversation, providing a comedic take on what's happening in the world at the moment. Each show will feature three guests from different backgrounds with diverse opinions who will join D.L. for a panel discussion as well as unannounced "drop-by" celebrities. A house band provides the tunes for each show, with the occasional musical guest.

D.L. Hughley began his career as a comedian working in small clubs. He appeared on HBO's "Def Comedy Jam" and was chosen as the first host of "ComicView" on BET. D.L. Hughley moved on to four successful years as the co-creator, star and executive producer of his own sitcom, "The Hughleys," now in syndication. It was the mega-hit "Original Kings of Comedy" that launched D.L. into superstardom. The film, based on the 1999 tour featuring D.L., Bernie Mac, Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer, garnered close to $40 million at the box office and became one of the highest selling DVDs in 2001. Hughley wowed audiences in the 2001 film, "The Brothers" and will co-star in the upcoming "Cloud Nine" opposite Burt Reynolds. In addition to his growing film resume, D.L. continues his reign on the stand-up comedy front, filling out concert arenas and headlining comedy clubs across the country. His one-hour HBO special, "D.L Hughley Going Home," earned D.L. a nomination for an NAACP Image Award. His one-hour comedy special, "Shocked and Appalled," recently aired on COMEDY CENTRAL and D.L.'s comedy CD, "Notes From the GED Section" was released in June.

Starting July 29, log on to www.comedycentral.com for new video content from "Weekends at the D.L." every Monday. Viewers will also find weekly guest information and promotion for D.L. Hughley's new CD, "Notes from the GED Section." A D.L.-themed online game will launch in September.

Credits for "Weekends at the D.L." include Robert Morton, D.L. Hughley, Michael Rotenberg and Dave Becky as executive producers and Zoe Friedman and Dave Koga as executives in charge of production for COMEDY CENTRAL.
